MarvelChart main commands bar
The main command bar of MarvelChart is composed of a set of buttons and menus through which you can access the application's functions. The available commands, in order from left to right, are:
Connect DataFeed - Allows you to connect MarvelChart to one or more brokers at the same time. There is also a 20 command to reconnect to all brokers already connected in case there were, for some reason, disconnections;
Workspace - In MarvelChart a Workspace is made up of the set of work windows, multiple work windows can be opened at the same time, allowing you to work on multiple screens. For each MarvelChart window, you can open multiple documents or Charts and use the Docking functionality to position them inside the window. The commands available from this button include:
New MarvelChart Window - creates a new work window;
Open Workspace - opens a workspace previously saved to file;
Save Workspace - saves the workspace to file;
Close Workspace - closes the current workspace, closing all work windows except the current one, on which all documents are closed and the Welcome page is displayed again.
Charts - The commands available from this button include:
New Chart - creates a new chart;
Load Chart - opens a chart from a previously saved file;
Save Chart - saves the current chart to file.
New DOM - Creates a new DOM / Trading Book;
New Backtest Multi-Symbol - Creates a new multi-symbol Backtest;
Orders Manager - Displays and brings to the foreground the Order Manager;
Trades History - Displays and brings to the forefront the Order History;
Positions - Displays and brings to the forefront the Positions Manager;
New Financial Informations - Opens a new window with the financial data of the selected symbol;
Economic Calendar - Displays and brings to the forefront the Economic Calendar;
News - Displays and brings to the forefront the News Reader;
New Stock Screener - Creates a new Stock Screener;
Market Map - Displays and brings to the forefront the Market Map;
New Forex Board - Creates a new Forex pairs table;
Account Details - Displays and brings to the foreground the Account Details;
Log Files - The log files are text files generated by MarvelChart that contain information regarding the use and status of the application, and are generally used for reporting malfunctions. The commands available from this button include:
View Files - Opens the Windows folder where the MarvelChart log files are stored;
Send Files for remote assistance - Sends a compressed archive of the MarvelChart log files to the remote assistance system. It is recommended to use this function every time you want to report a MarvelChart malfunction.
New Support Ticket - Opens the web page for creating a new support request and error reporting ticket;
Theme - Allows you to select the MarvelChart graphic theme. There are two graphic themes, one with a light background and one with a dark background;
Font - Allows you to change the font size (i.e. the text characters). The commands available from this button include:
Increase font size - Increases the current font size by 1 point;
Decrease font size - Decreases the current font size by 1 point;
Default font size - Restores the original settings for the font size.
Keyboard Shortcuts - Displays the MarvelChart keyboard shortcut settings window;
Settings of the application - Displays the window containing the general settings of MarvelChart;
About MarvelChart - Displays the window containing information on the MarvelChart version and the characteristics of your license for use;
User's Guide - Opens the home page of this online guide;
Broker Connection Status - For each broker currently connected, a connection status button is displayed, which highlights with a green or red line positioned under the broker icon whether the connection is working properly or not. Clicking on a broker's button starts the broker's reconnection procedure;
Search for Help - Search for keywords and topics in this online guide directly from MarvelChart.
